The Waiting Room

We made it back from our trip. It was a very productive one. We signed a lease, rented a storage unit and opened bank accounts.

The new apartment is very nice. What we like about it is that the complex is in an area that has lots of trees and green space. The complex is a little more mature, in that mostly professionals, grad students and older people live there.

We have a first level apartment that is a corner unit. We have a nice deck that faces a wooded area. I can walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, coffee and other stuff. There's also a bus stop nearby with reliable service.

And the Boy will be welcome there. There is no doggie discrimination. In fact, the office LOVES dogs and keeps treats in the office. He already has an invitation to stop by for belly rubs and snacks!!!

So now, we have about thirty days until we move. Husband and I have made a preliminary decision on a moving company. We want to move the Monday after the 4th of July weekend, in order to avoid the holiday craziness.

In the meantime, we will continue purging and packing. The rest of June will be filled with final medical appointments, farewell get-together and a final tour of some of our favorite place in Lake Effect Snow Central. We also have a list of places we have always wanted to check out, but for whatever reason, never did.

It all seems so real now! This move is really happening!!!!
