This past Friday, Husband and I attended a get-together to help commemorate World Refugee Day. Our neighbor's daughter sponsored the event in order to raise awareness and to showcase her work with the
Niapele Project in Ghana. She spent all of last year volunteering in Ghana.
In addition to a wonderful presentation and great food. I purchased this:
It's a wrap skirt made by one of the refugee women of Ghana. Beautiful, isn't it?
It was a great time and just a reminder of how important it is to remember those who are not as fortunate to have those things we sometimes take for granted.

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.
