My Ipod is AFU. It is skipping songs, making strange clicking noises and just shuts down even though it is fully charged. I spent two hours last night restoring it to its factory settings and reinstalling Itunes, and it still does not work.
D'oh!
I guess it's off to the Apple Store to find out WTF is wrong with it.

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

how weird? Did you buy AppleCare when you got it?
No, I didn't. I am one of those people who do not believe in extended warranties. But I am wondering if this time I may be wrong.
Sing it sister! Ages ago, I brought an mp3 player, pre-ipod, but a real brand, and it just petered out after 9 months. That's what keeps me from going deep into ipod fever despite the gaga everyone else gets.
Did you try that business about giving it a couple of whacks on the desk? I saw people swearing by that a while back.
Rebecca
I second Rebecca's suggestion. Giving it some whacks or dropping it from six inches or so. At least, I read about it on the internet, so it's gotta work, right?
