Sunday Morning Murmurs

Posted by Seeking Solace |

  • Thanks for all the cheers and congrats about my good news. I am really excited about the training.
  • This is the first weekend in a long time when I had absolutely no grading, class prep or other work related stuff to do! Woot!!!
  • I've been doing more walking as exercise. Yesterday, Husband and I took the Boy for a 1.5 mile walk through the neighborhood. Today, we did a mile. We are using a pedometer to track our steps. I want to put it on the Boy to see if the amount doubles because he has more feet. :)
  • I think I might wear it to work too. I walk around a lot when I teach.
  • The oppressive heat is starting to disappear in Elsewhere. I can't believe that I am saying that 90 degrees feels cooler! But, it really does!
  • I am doing a little work clothing shopping today. I really need to find short sleeve or 3/4 sleeve tops to wear at work. Parts of the build are really cold while others are quite warm. Need balance.
  • I am also shopping for a new dishwasher. I just can't take mine anymore. I think I have the world's loudest dishwasher. Seriously, I have to turn up the TV full blast to hear it. I can even hear it upstairs in the oppisite end of the house, loud and clear.
  • You know you've read a lot of books when you buy a book at a used bookstore by one of you favortie authors, only to realize that you read it previously. I bought a James Patterson book last week only to realize about 20 pages in that I had already read it! Oh well, it's a good excuse to go back to the bookstore!

I had to laugh at the pedometer on the dog -- let me know how that works out! LOL I hear you about the books -- done that too many times. And yay for no grading! Enjoy the "cool" weather :)

I just bought a bunch of books, I'll send you the titles so you can look for them! I found all mine at used bookstores this weekend!

I wear a pedometer almost every day. Last week I realized that I work almost twice as much in my new office (far away from everything I do) than my old office. Score!
