Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. We have our contractor (the guy who did our kitchen, half bath, recessed lighting etc..) stopping by to give us an estimate on putting a new front porch. Ours is concrete that is in very bad shape and does help in the curb appeal department. We are also going shopping for some new shrubs and plants to help in the curb appeal department. It really hit home how low on the curb appeal scale my house is when I saw two other homes for sale in the neighborhood with really nice shrubs and porches.
Yesterday, we had a roofing guy stop over to give us an estimate on how much longer we have left on our roof. He said it was in good shape and would not need replacing any time soon. We do need some chimney work which he will do next week.
After the contractor, we have two more real estate agents stopping by. They are back-to-back appointments. We want to make a final decision by the end of next week so we can get the "For Sale" sign up. I am hoping the have some good things to tell us.
At least I don't have to do the marathon cleaning like I did for the past two weeks. I have scrubbed, mopped, waxed, dusted and vacuumed almost every nook and cranny of this house. Also, I had another huge pile of stuff for donation pick up this morning. Husband is amazed how much stuff we got rid of and how little remains. There is still another round of purging to go, mostly of things in the living room and kitchen.
It's a lot of work. And there is still so much to do.
