Last night, I got a whopping four hours of sleep. I can usually chalk it up to my brain's unwillingness to shut off, but that just was not the case. I felt tired and I wanted to sleep, but for some reason, my body was not cooperating.
Even a cup of Sleepy-time Tea could not send me off to dreamland. All it did was make me want to go to the bathroom every hour! I ended up watching TV, three episodes of Sex in the City, one episode of Sanford and Son, one episode of King of the Hill and two episodes of House Hunters. I finally went to bed at 4 AM, not out of sleepiness, but of boredom.
My only guess is that my sleep is disrupted because of the stomach bug I had earlier in the week. Who knew that extensive periods of vomiting would make you tired? Seeing as I was up every hour on Sunday night making the mad dash to the bathroom, and then sleeping all day Monday and Tuesday, I guess you could say I am a little off.
Maybe I'll sprinkle some lavender on my pillow tonight.

- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

I hope sleep comes back to you soon.
Is there some unusually stressful stuff going on? Maybe you're just processing reality of the move to target city??
Yeah, you do have a lot of stressful things going on in your life. Maybe a warm bath and some lavender on the pillow will help. Insomnia is no fun!
