- Today was my last day of steroids. YAY! I feel great
- I am going back to the gym tonight after a two week hiatus. Don't worry, nothing strenuous or fancy. Just some walking on the treadmill.
- For those of you who are not on Twitter or Facebook, I thought I would share with you what was for dinner last night. Husband and I made this. Here's a little tip. If you don't want to deal with the fresh artichokes or can't find frozen, you can used artichokes in a can or jar (look in the pasta and sauce section). Just make sure you get the artichokes in water and not brine. If you like spinach and artichoke dip, you will love this.
- We are moving along with the relocation plans. I am contacting real estate agents, so that Husband and I can interview them. We are hoping to get the house on the market by April 15th.
- We have been busy doing little projects around the house. Husband is cleaning the hardwood floors on the second floor of our house. I am still cleaning, sorting and boxing up stuff.
- Job front: Kinda at a standstill. I have one outstanding opportunity. It's stuff in HR no-man's land. I have decided not to pursue the academic position that I had issues with. It just was going to be a hassle coupled with a major headache. As far as other job opportunities, I am waiting and watching to see what happens now that everyone is starting to get their stimulus money. Also, I don't think anyone is going to really know what their needs are until July when budgets, enrollment and stimulus money are known.
- Husband's job prospects are holding as well. We are waiting for some possible good news.
- Tomorrow, I am going for facials and lunch with GML. Here's a little tip. Go to the local beauty college. You can get a pretty good facial for $30.00! Seriously, they do a great job. They also do manicures and pedicures too. It's a great way to do something nice for yourself for half the cost at one of the spas. And, you allow the students a chance to practice. It's a win-win.
- And the Boy? Well, he's got spring fever!

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

The artichokes in my store are with the canned veggies, so also try looking there. They are GREAT.
Going to the local beauty school is a GREAT tip. I go to the Aveda Institute for my hair and always get a fabulous cut for DIRT cheap.
I could not find artichokes in the canned veggie section. They were all with the pasta and sauce. Weird.
I had a facial at the beauty school back in January and it was fabulous. It's nice to do something good for yourself without breaking the bank.
Sounds like things are on the up and up!
I went with friends to an Aveda training school one time for a facial. They did a great job.
