My partner in crime, the lovely GML, and I had a great time today. We got facials at the local beauty school. The estheticians-in-training were not a good as the ones we had last time. GML swears that they missed a couple of steps in the facial process. I was just having a tough time relaxing with the new age-techno music that was playing. What I want to hear when I get a facial is sounds from the rain forest or the waves crashing on the beach. Of course, for $35.00, I shouldn't complain...too much.
We had a great lunch at this place that has a lot of vegetarian choices. We decided on salads. I had the Balsamic Bocconcini (Mesclun greens, pinenuts, fresh mozzarella & sun dried tomatoes. I did ask them to hold the chicken) I was so impressed with the presentation that I just had to take a picture.
GML had the Fall Harvest (Mesclun, walnuts, raisins, sunflower seeds, apples, oranges, cranberries and Asiago cheese) Doesn't it look yummy???
Both salads came with a yogurt, garlic and dill dressing that was just phenomenal. I wanted to lick my plate clean!
Once I got home, I was feeling fresh, full and happy. The only thing to do in that situation is to take a nap!

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.
