I got home last night from Target State. The interview went well...but I have some concerns about the college. I want to tell all about the concerns because I could really use the wisdom of my academic friends and others. But, I am afraid I may "out" myself and where I interviewed. So, if you want to help me, drop me an email at seekingsolace.blog@gmail.com
I will tell you one really cool thing that happened on the flight to Lake Effect Snow Central. As we landed at the airport, the woman sitting next to Husband opened her carry on bag. Inside the carry on bag was a CAT!. He had flown the entire trip from our connecting city to LESC without making a meow. The woman said that she has flown with him since he was a kitten and he is now two and completely used to the flight. We asked how much extra it cost to bring him and she said that he was a stowaway. Translation...she snuck him on the plane. TSA doesn't care; what kind of terrorist threat does a cat have? But, I do have to wonder what the agent thought as the bag went through the x ray machine and there's a cat in the bag!
Speaking of pets, the Boy comes home today at noon. He is getting a doggie spa treatment first. This means a bath, grooming and nail trim. I can't wait to see him. I have so much to tell him about his potential new home!

sure you could hijack a plane with a cat...if it was the right kind of cat. :P
glad your interview went well!
i'm curious to know your concerns.
my only concern about the cat would be for people who are allergic. i wonder if she ever thought about that.
Ragey: Husband is allergic to cats. He was sitting right next to the cat-lady. I asked him if he noticed anything and he didn't get itchy eyes or the usual symptoms.
When we go to friend's houses who have cats, Husband needs an antihistamine. (Right, Rented Life? Same as when you come to my house with the Boy!)
Yeah, I've heard that some people aren't always allergic, or better stated, don't show signs all of the time. I think that is interesting.
I guess my concern with the lady bringing the cat on the plane is that issue. One never knows if someone is allergic, and I think most people probably wouldn't think that a cat would be a stowaway on a plane.
It was a little shocking to see this cat looking around. At first, I thought it was a stuffed animal, until the head started moving!
Wow, poor kitty! Surely repeated x-rays are dangerous to the animal...
That's what I was thinking--repeated xrays!
Some cats bother me allergy wise, but mine don't--you get used to them to a degree. Some animals bother me more than others (like SS's dog, who also has been know to fart and belch in my presence :) )It depends on the dander and things like that.
I was worried about poor kitty and all that radiation! He should be glowing by now.
Rented Life: Yeah, the Boy does fart and beltch a lot! I think he is pretty proud of it!
I took my cat on a plane once (and paid) but I don't think there was additional paperwork or anything for tsa. I had to take him out of the carrier, remove his collar and hold on for dear life as we went through the metal detector.
