A woman called police stating that there was a person sitting in a car, writing something on a notepad. The police comforted the person who turned out to be a professor at Small Private College and was grading papers.
What makes this even more hilarious was that the college mentioned is the college where I work!
I am so going to post that blurb in the copy room!

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

They were probably a poor adjunct who doesn't have an office.
Makes you wonder if that woman had something to hide since she was so concerned that she called the police. Hmmmm....
No. Any adjunct with a shred of dignity would be at Starbucks like the rest of us.
how very odd...and hilarious. :)
Grading papers on a stranger's car??? Odd indeed.
The adjuncts have plenty of office space offered to them and SPC (as in the dean offered MY OFFICE SPACE) so that's hardly it.
Perhaps, like many of us, they just needed to get away. No students are going to come up to your car.
