I have to report for jury duty tomorrow.
I am not going to take my laptop with me. It would just be a hassle. I am going to take some books and my Ipod.
I let you know how it goes.

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

I have an HP mini just for toting along for things like this. It weighs half a pound, has a nearly 3 hr battery life, and a keyboard that is created for fast typing (unlike other netbooks I checked out). Even all my docs' offices now have wifi for people to use in the waiting rooms. Most restaurants around also have wifi these days.
And if I'm somewhere that I can't get online, then I've always got plenty of other work that does not require being online!
The HP mini is perfect to pop into my shoulder bag without weighing it down significantly. And I have it set to turn off when I close it so I don't have to wait to log off when "they" (whoever "they" are) call my name!!
Hope the day isn't a total wash!
