The papers are signed. Effective Monday, my house is on the market. The Bob thinks it will sell quickly.
Reality is setting in. Husband and I are actually moving. We are leaving a place where we have spent the last 18 years, to embark on a new adventure in a new place.
Exciting and scary at the same time.

About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

Change can be a cleansing experience. Good luck!
all the best!
Good luck with selling the house. We're still in our first house, and it'll definitely be a little scary when we leave.
Thanks everyone!
It's a little sad leaving this house. It is our first house too. We have worked so hard to make it a home. So many memories.
Someone is going to get a great house.
yay, best of luck!!!
That is awesome. I can't even imagine selling our house, even though I don't really live in it anymore!
All best wishes to you!
Cheryl Richardson describes this ritual of saying goodbye to her old house, which I thought of when I read your comment, here's the link:

I hear you on the fun and sort of scary part. But the truth is the scare is just part of the thrill. Which direction are you headed (vaguely for blog's sake). Good luck!
