Deal

Posted by Seeking Solace |

We are going to accept the offer. It was $1900 under the asking price. There are some contingencies and concessions, so we are not completely out of the woods yet.

We are also going to show the house today. There is another couple who are coming for a second showing. If they put in a higher offer, we have the right to deny the first contract. (It's a bunch of legalese, that I will not bore you with.)

The reason for doing this is that there is a financing concession that is a concern for us. Although the likelihood of anything negative happening is small, it would just be our luck that something would happen which would put send us back to the beginning.

And frankly, I am not in a place to do that. Husband and I are beyond exhausted. We are running on fumes. It seems like we are taking turns with having sleeping issues. We just want this to be done so we can move on, literally and figuratively.

But it's good news. My house sold in four days.

Sweet!

That really was fast. The Bob must have done a good job then. I hope the other couple offers a better deal so you don't have to worry about the financing stuff. Any idea when the official move out date is?

Thanks everyone. We are really happy and surprised.

I think the Bob did a great job. We priced it just right. Plus, it's in a very good neighborhood. Many of the comments we received were that it was a nice house that was well taken care of. And the kitchen was just amazing.

All of the people are first time home buyers taking advantage of the #8K tax credit. They are FHA loans, which does have us a little concerned because FHA has to approve the house.
