About Me
- Seeking Solace
- I am a college professor who is fumbling through the chaos of academia, rheumatoid arthritis, working on my PhD and just being a 40 something woman. I used to be a lawyer, which made me a snarky little person. I have a wonderful Husband and a German Shepherd named Junior. They help keep me sane.

I like this template much more than the old one.
So pretty!
It looks very pretty, but I have to admit that at least on my laptop screen, it's very hard to read the black text on the patterned background. I'm not sure how it would look, but from a readability standpoint, it would probably be easier on the eyes to switch the pattern with the solid side background.
I think it's very pretty. Cool, crisp, springy.
I wish I knew how to change mine without losing all my stuff...I'm just lazy like that.
I love template changes! And this one is quite lovely.
I'm also having a bit of trouble reading over the patterned background, but I'm willing to work for it if you need me to. :)
It's very springy, but I agree that it's tough to read on that background. Nice photo!
LOVE it--it's gorgeous! (But yeah, a little hard to read the text...)
Very spring-y!
It's downright lush!
Very pretty! But I had to adjust my screen to read the text on the background.
Thanks everyone. I think I will have to change it. I am having trouble changing the background html so that you can read the text.
I love the photo! Very pretty!
Very spiffy and Spring-like!
You might try changing the text color or level of boldness rather than the background, itself.
very nice! i agree with the others about the background.
I like the change -- the bench makes me want to sit there and read "Secret Garden".
oooh, i love it!!
I like it! I want that to be my backyard.
The background is an issue, but I mostly read via bloglines anyway. I hope you can keep the photo as you tweak the background.
I'm with everyone else: love it, but can't read it :) Even just making the background a little paler would probably fix it, if you want to keep the texture.
