After all, I don't want you to think that I am eagerly engaging in a fight with you.

Rather, I assume that since you don't know me from a can of paint, you don't know that I tell this story with a some snark and sarcasim, which is my M.O. around here. When you put the two together, you get someone whose a bit snarky, a little bitchy and a whole lot of humor thrown in.

Sorry if you missed that.Seeking Solacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13605809609182729290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17632197.post-44226731587085665632011-04-23T14:42:32.842-04:002011-04-23T14:42:32.842-04:00What was the point of even bothering to respond or...What was the point of even bothering to respond or otherwise react to the student's mother's phone call or e-mail? The students were accorded due process and were suspended: end of story.

It sounds to me like you have unhealthy tendencies to (1) personalize the absurd antics of students and (2) eagerly fight with people over nonsense. These tendencies are only going to cause you trouble going forward in academia.

(Here via Grumpy Rumblings.)Comrade PhysioProfhttp://physioprof.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17632197.post-9198300195881725732011-04-23T11:54:12.490-04:002011-04-23T11:54:12.490-04:00OK, I will patiently wait for the cliff hanger ins...OK, I will patiently wait for the cliff hanger installment. I would probably be pushing the students, the mothers off a cliff. Thinking up something for the lawyer. Bet she didn't know "teacher is a legal whizkid."

Last note, if being pretty is an excuse for being nasty..all of us would be nasty.
